Langhans - ein letzter Dokumentarfilm

In 2022 and 2023, I worked as director of photography for the documentary part of langhans.keinedoku, a hybrid feature film directed by Marco Papadopoulos. The film blends fictional and documentary elements, exploring themes of memory, identity, and the role of counterculture figure Rainer Langhans.
The production was led by Marco Papadopoulos and Marten Conrad and is currently in post-production. My work focused on capturing the documentary sequences in a visually coherent and emotionally grounded style – blending observational moments with subtle cinematic framing.
The collaboration was a deep creative process that extended across two years and continues to influence my narrative work.
Der Gast - Sidero & Chaliva
Der Gast tells a story of friendship, homesickness, and migration — set against the backdrop of the fall of the Greek military dictatorship in 1974. At its heart, the film explores the emotional landscape of guest workers in Germany, interweaving personal stories with historical transformation.
Directed by Marco Papadopoulos and produced by Die Systemlinge (Conrad & Papadopoulos GBR), the project is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen) and Neue Künste Ruhr (@neuekuensteruhr).
As director of photography, I helped shape the visual language of the film — combining naturalistic lighting and framing with a cinematic sensitivity to themes of memory, identity, and displacement.
